Older Kids (8-12)

Practical Information
Parking
Free once inside the park ($35 entrance fee per vehicle). Lots fill by 9-10am in peak season β arrive very early or use the free shuttle from Tusayan.
Hours
The park is open 24/7 year-round. Visitor Center hours are typically 8am-5pm. Free shuttle buses run from before sunrise to after sunset.
Ticket Tips
Park entrance is $35/vehicle for 7 days. America the Beautiful Pass ($80/year) covers all national parks. Kids 15 and under enter free.
Dining
El Tovar is the premier restaurant (reservations essential). Bright Angel Lodge has casual dining. Bring food β options are very limited.
Accessibility
The Rim Trail between Mather Point and the Village is paved and wheelchair accessible. Many viewpoints have paved access. Wheelchairs available for loan at the Visitor Center.
